Be A Motorman Program

Two individuals enjoying their experience operating a restored antique streetcar |
The Be A Motorman Program at the Seashore Trolley Museum provides the opportunity for you to operate a real antique streetcar. After a brief overview of how a streetcar works and how to operate it, one of our instructors will guide you as you operate a streetcar out on our two-mile rail line. The money raised is used to maintain our streetcar collection.
Your immediate family is invited to be with you as memories are created that will last a lifetime.

Create memories or relive old ones... |
Minimum Requirements
Participants must be at least 18 years old. This will ensure that the streetcar can be operated in a safe manner under the instructor's guidance.
Rates
Traditionally, the program has been one trip out on our main line with an instructor. For those that make reservations, we'd like to offer you a special opportunity to operate a streetcar multiple times out our main line.
| Basic Two Trips Three Trips |
$60.00 $100.00 $150.00 |
On your second and third trip, if you'd like to try your hands on a different streetcar (of a similar type control), there's an additional $10.00 fee for each streetcar. This option is subject to car availability.
Admission
The program fee does not include admission to the Museum. We request that you purchase admission tickets prior to your program experience.
| Make a Reservation |

We ask for you to please make a reservation two weeks in advance. This assures that an instructor is on hand for your experience. When making a reservation, please select a first and second choice of times of when you would like to do the program. |
