Library and Archives

At the Seashore Trolley Museum is the Library of the New England Electric Railway Historical Society. The collection contains many photographs, postcards, articles, magazines, books, as well as many artifacts of the streetcar era. The items in the collection have come from individuals who have donated their own personal collections as well as items the Society has acquired.
Currently the Library is closed to the public, however the Library has started on an ambitious project for a new building to house its large collection. Consider giving a donation for the new building, which will be climate controlled for the protection of our collection and include space for research.
Inquiries about specific items or historical information can be sent to Librarian Edward Ramsdell.
